-I took up some space at a distance of 3 paces from wherever you were in the sand. I moved into an open stance, my feet shoulder width apart, both feet encased in thicker tharlarion hide boots that came to just below my knee. I bent my knees to bring me down 2" into a balanced crouch and pushed up slightly onto the balls of feet, so I could move quickly. My left held gladius was held in a forward grip, and crossed my torso diagonally from left hip to right shoulder. It was kept about 6" from my body. My right held gladius was held vertically in a forward grip at waist level, with the tip aimed forward towards your solar plexus. I settled into my stance and nodded to see what sort you'd assume.-
Paces are rubbish – LOL – Try to use feet, it is more accurate. Some people have their different opinions, but I will take a pace as exactly 3ft so you set distance to 9ft. Okay. - Squared stance – clean enough weapons post.

6’4” 220lbs
Left hand: 22 inch leaf bladed gladius style short sword 6 inch hilt 2 inch crosses guard
Right hand: 20 inch wooden handled red savages tomahawk with a spade style metal edge about 4 inches long along the edge tapering off into the wooden handle
Right hip: 24 inch long tem wood bladed war club with leather wrappings at the bottom for grip. A 10 inch long 5 inches wide spike of a blade wrapped into the wood at the end of the balled tip. Attached to my weapons belt with a small hoop and a leather “pocket” attached to my leathers at about thigh level on the outside of my right thigh to securely hold it in place
in my weapons belt along my lower back I have sheathed 4, 12 inch long quivas all situated to have the grips pointed to my right side and sheathed into the sleeves at back level
I move to stand 10 ft from you holding the gladius in my left hand slightly so that the sword is diagonal across my chest the tip being the point that is facing slightly up I hold the sword out about 10 inches from my chest the true edge facing forward the false edge towards my chest. My right hand has the Tomahawk held in a lowered state the blade end hanging down the edge of the weapon aimed toward my opponent held loosely in my grip. My feet were shoulder width apart and my knees slightly bent as I watch with steely eyes my body squared with yours.
Blade on your club is quite long and wide – I'll let it go this time but the blade would really only be about 4-6inches long. - Distance extended by an extra foot to make 10ft – Squared stance.

says to - The Extent of the Law : I took into account the tomahawk and the distance you had widened slightly between us with a narrowed gaze, and then knowing well the throwing capabilities of said tomahawk, I ran in a irregular, rhythmless zigzagging fashion so it would be hard if not impossible to get a lock on me to fling it. I ended in that running charge with the illusion that I would go to your left, then once I had closed to a distance of 2', two things happened simaultaneously.
The feint to your left would quickly be reversed, and Id leap to your right, keeping that distance of 2' and landing in a right lead. while my right held gladius would be swung from my right to left and then thrust forward in a feint towards your left shoulder, hoping to draw your weapons up there. The actual attack would come as I brought my left held gladius' true edge down in a downward chop aimed for your right forearm, right near the inner elbow so I could disable that arm early on.-
Close down to 2ft – Clean.
I see the positioning feint as more like a “Juke” something very quick and when I picture – I see it like an American Football player when he is trying to get around some one and leans one way only to move the other way – it would take a second or less to complete and I will allow it. - Would not say it was a leap though, going by your size and your statement of keeping the distance at 2ft, any more than a Juke step would increase that distance, so in my eyes, it's a quick step not a leap. - Aiming for his right arm is a good attack though, assuming you manage to get to his right flank that is.

COUNTERATTACK
I watch you charge in with the zig zag pattern and make your way to within 2 ft of me as you jump to my right side I bring my left leg back and rotate my body so that my right shoulder would be turning to face you my left shoulder back as I step onto my left foot to add power to my true attack.. my right arm that was lowered with the spade style tomahawk as you leap to the right I would bring the weapon with my hand tight on the grip upwards in a fast hard pull from my right to my left as you leap to my right it only brings you into the path of the spade blade pulling up as I move it in it’s motion aiming to slam the spade style blade into your left side ribs the swing fast and hard as the tomahawk was mostly a throwing weapons but it could be used in hand to hand aiming to slam the blade into your left side ribs and end the fight here with a gruesome wound.
I don't like this. Pro tip for Counter attacks = Never ever try to counter attack somebody using the same limb that they are aiming for. Let's break it down. You draw your left side back attempting to turn face with him. It's almost like you fell for his “Juke” Move. He moved to your right, Your body is turning to your left with that back step so your actually putting your right side out there for him. - Also a BACK step does not add much power behind an attack like stepping FORWARD behind it would – Next thing, You are using the arm that he is AIMING FOR to try and counter him, His attack to your right arm is basically a defence all in itself now. - I do get that you are trying to catch him during his leap but I really don't see that movement from him as being slow enough for you to beat him – His own attack to your right attacking arm is practically like a perfect counter attack AGAINST you. I don't see it beating him essentially since his own attack is also moving his blade directly in front of the area that you are aiming for anyway. Now here's where it gets iffy – his feint right handed strike would buy you A LITTLE time, not much, but a little and depending how he responds to this – you may survive. Let's see what he does... but I'm deducting a point here because of the unrealistic counter attack -1

says to - The Extent of the Law : I followed through with the intended downward motion of my left held gladius, though levelling it out at waist level and snapping the tip upwards quickly to keep it between my body and your tomahawk. I then parried from my right to left to send the axe's intended strike well away from the left side of my body. At the same time, still in that right lead, I would quickly shuffle to my right another foot, to open up the distance to 3' between us.That left held gladius would for now stay guarding my left side as
I moved forward again in my right lead and then since that right held sword was still up high from its previous feint, I thrust it forward quickly and aimed the tip around in a wrap behind your head, attempting to slice into your neck. I pulled the sword back and down after that thrust and now faced your left side in that right lead.
You follow through with the motion but abandon the attack to point the tip upwards and parry his strike it saves you definitely but FYI – Had you merely continued with the attack as intended, I would have seen you chopping off his arm as he tried to swing the axe at you and you would have won. - You shuffle to your right now okay, this works, distance reset to 3ft, you still in a right lead and he is also now in a right lead.
Attack works however when he drew his left side back in his previous post, that would increase the distance between his shoulder/neck area and your right held sword. Plus you also stepped to your right in your defence which would add another 1ft distance between it. And you remove forward how much? Distance? You also state that you are making a thrust attack, then a wrap shot and then it's back to being a thrust – From your target area (Back of his neck), I'm going to say that it is a wrap shot so your retraction after the attack would also not be as swift -1 for lack of clarity since it would be important at this stage. The attack itself however, works – it just would not be as quick as you would hope it to be.

says to .Reese..Caste of Warrior: as my right was held away with your parry but my left held blade still in position near my chest turning my body to square with you as I do not move to change distance between us as you start to thrust your sword outwards my left held blade rotates so the tip is facing more upwards and thrust my arm out to my left trying to catch your blade before it could get to my neck and open your arm wide trying to open both your arms wide as
I have your body opened up I swiftly bring my knee up and outwards of my left leg aiming to slam my kneecap towards your groin aiming to slam the knee upwards and outwards as you were well within range bringing the knee up fast and hard hoping to hit you there and cause you not to want to fight anymore this night. The movement making my left leg step down hard to the sands after the intended strike.
Turning your BODY would not put you square with him, you have to move your back left foot forward to do that – I declare you still in a right lead at this point – Defence itself is clean though.
Nobody is stating distance here and the last actual acknowledged distance stated by either of you was 3ft so I'm saying it's still that, and it's your REAR left leg which is what? About a foot of more behind your right foot? Which is a total of around 4ft at least, you have a long reach from that knee to his groin so whilst its viable, it's a stretch and easily avoidable.

says to - The Extent of the Law : -As your knee came up, I slid back in the sand, maintaining my right lead, and keeping three feet of distance between us, which would keep me easily out of a knee's range unless you fell into me. At the same time, I brought my swords down to waist level once more, both pointed towards you in a forward grip, held vertically and parallel to one another for the moment.
From there, I aimed my left held gladius in a feint towards your right side ribs, while my right held gladius came down towards the meat of your thigh, right above your rising knee in an attempt to slice open the muscle there and end this spar.
Key word here “KEEPING the 3ft distance – Congratulations you just got kneed – This isn't enough you don't make enough effort to get away from his strike and I see it landed. With this distance his knee is practically a lunging knee – Check this video out at 0:24 [SEE BOTTOM OF SCRIPT TO CHECK OUT THE VIDEO] - This is how I see the knee. I see it falling short of tucking up into your groin because of your “slid” motion but I feel it would still strike you on the front of your pelvis. A painful blow but whether a disabling factor or not would depend on your personal pain tolerance and since you are of the caste of warriors, I would think you could still do on especially since he didn't mention putting any body force behind it, however don't be expecting to do any fast moving now because a knee against the pelvis hurts like hell. The knee you see in that video I showed you for reference is something that I have being victim off in R/T and it made my eyes water to say the least. You had the perfect opportunity to counter attack this with your left held sword though since he had no pin on it and it was inside his axe, you could have just chopped down into his knee with a counter attack and ended this fight.
Feint is okay – be careful not to overuse feints though – and his knee would not still be rising at this point in time – it would be be lowering towards the sands but the strike is still viable.

You're backposting – He slid back in his counter portion, but no attempt to move back a few steps anywhere in his reaction. -1 for the backposting. He also repositioned his blades earlier – you have yet to do so and so your left held sword is still out to your high left. It's not going to beat his downward sword. I actually enjoyed judging this fight. I could see that you were both trying hard to win and it is a good sight.
Reese – well done on your first victory here on RoG, keep practising, you could have ended this fight so many times sooner rather than later.
Kail – I know you are better than this and some times you write beautiful counter attacks – But you seem to have developed a bad habit of trying to Force Counter Attacks where they really don't belong and it is going to end up costing you. Unless your opponent leaves himself entirely open or attacks you with a body part, don't waste your time with counter attacks. The only instance in this spar when I saw a counter attack as a realistic option was actually AGAINST you when you tried to knee Reese. Keep up the practice.

The only instance in this spar when I saw a counter attack as a realistic option was actually AGAINST you when you tried to knee Reese. Keep up the practice.
