.Reese..Caste of Warrior: I stand six foot and four inches and weighing in at 230 pounds, with my attire being a scarlet tunic, leather pants and thigh high leather tarn boots where a twelve inch quiva sheathed atop of my right boot. The tarn boots are protected with a steel guard covering the tops of each boot. Upon my head is a typical Y slotted helm that is strapped tightly under my chin while my three foot wooden round Torvian shield, slatted wood held together with iron banding and a rounded metal boss in the middle is gripped within my left hand, the shield covers from my chin down to thigh. In my right hand is a 27 inch gladius, my fingers wrap around the hilt while holding the blade slightly angled towards your left shoulder. There is a matching 27 inch gladius sheathed over my left shoulder. The haft of a two foot and six inch axe is pushed between my left hip and weapons belt, the axe head is six inches wide and is steel molded over an iron base and is razor sharp, it sits comfortable in position. I moved until the distance is approximately twelve feet, leading with my left foot is slightly forward with my right foot is half a pace behind me with both knees slightly bent for balance and support. My keen gaze locked upon you, watching you every move and ready for purusing battle.

-I assumed a typical defensive stance, bringing my shield, which was strapped to my right arm, up in front of me. I centered myself behind it, placing myself in a right leading stance. I faced you straight on at distance of 3 paces . I bent my knees, and set my shield so that it protected me from just below my chin to just above mid thigh level. I turned my left foot out to the side slightly. Both feet were covered in nearly knee high tharlarion hide boots, with the typical steel tips covering the toes.I crouched down about 6",so I had a good solid foundation. My sword was gripped in my left hand, and my arm was lifted high, my elbow level with my shoulder, the sword resting at the top left edge of my shield. I held the blade so it was parallel to the ground, the tip pointing forward at you and awaited your attack.-

.Reese..Caste of Warrior: I stood in my defensive position for a few moments studying your position. I then stead strides toward you, I keeping sight of your shield and sword as I approached, I remained to your left side until I hit my mark at three feet from you, I took a swift step your right and I swiftly jabbed my shield forward into that of your blade, in attempt to pin it against your body.
With my sword at my right hip and aiming for your chest, I swung my gladius in a swift and tight loop upward to just over top of the rim your shield aiming for the space between your collarbone and shoulder, hopefully driving the blade downward from the collarbone and straight into your heart.

| The Northern Ways |Dra: -I had my shield in my right hand, so when you stepped around to my right, I turned that way at the waist, still maintaining my right lead. I swung my shield from center to slightly right, so that when I twisted, I would still keep my center mass covered. At the same time, as my shield would slide up the face of yours, I lifted it up about a foot, and angled the top half back towards me so that your sword would not break the guard of its edge and Id stay covered
Then, since your sword arm would have to be up a bit to try to get over my shield, I dropped my longsword down the side of my shield as it moved to block and brought it to our mutual chest level. I quickly stabbed forward in a jab for your right pectoral, hoping to strike while your arm was still up in an attack. After that jab, my arm shot back, elbow tucking in to my left side, with the sword kept at chest level.-

.Reese..Caste of Warrior: Once my sword had hopefully struck your collarbone instantly brought my sword arm back to my right hip, I moved my left foot backward and squared up with you so when your sword came toward my sword arm, I simultaneously brought my shield slightly left to my right and forward an inch from my body intercepting your blade about couple of inches from my body and deflecting your blade away from my arm. Once your blade had skirted off of my shield, I quickly shuffled a couple feet to my right now seeing your exposed left side.
At that moment when I saw the opening, brought my gladius from my right hip aiming for your left shoulder attempting to brutally slicing diagonally just below your shoulder blades... craving deep into your back and severing your spinal cord hopefully paralyzing you.

| The Northern Ways |Dra: -I twisted again at the waist, this time from right to my left, and stepped back and to my right with my left foot. I moved a total of 2 feet, opening up the distance between us to 4 feet, which would keep me in range with my longer sword, but not your shorter gladius.I pivoted on my right leading foot to keep facing you squarely, so that when you attempted to wrap around my left, I lifted the tip of my blade up and swung it out to my left to parry away your intended strike, hopefully sending it out high to my left.
Then, after the joining of steel, I brought my elbow up and angled the tip of my sword down as I pulled it back towards me, resetting it to its place at chest level. As I did so, I attempted to wrap my sword past your own, and slice open your right forearm, thus disabling one of your sword arms.-

.Reese..Caste of Warrior: I had anticipated your attack to my forearm. As your blade went into the downward arc attempting to wrap your sword arm past mine, I simultaneously jabbed my shield a couple of inches forward intercepting your blade and deflecting the blade upward and to the left away from my forearm, once your blade had skirted off the face of my shield, I brought my shield back those couple of inches of my torso.
Simultaneously as I stepped forward with my lead foot, as your shield was being brought back up I bring my sword from my hip looping up high and to my right behind my head and then curved to my left downward, my wrist twisted to the left so the edge of my blade was coming at a left angle directly toward the left side of your throat causing horrific spray of blood as my blade went ripping through your throat hoping this would end the battle.

| The Northern Ways |Dra: -You stepped forward with your left, and I mirrored this movement, stepping with my right. It was easy to bring my shield up and to my left to block that descent of your blade, to send it skittering harmlessly off the boss. I crouched just another couple of inches to ensure this would be so.
While I was beneath the cover of my shield, I dropped my sword from chest level so you could not see it coming very easily, and pointed the tip at the ground. I swung it from my right to left, aiming a nasty slice at your outer right knee, knowing it was highly unlikely you could disengage to drop fast enough to deflect that, thus hobbling that leg to end the match.
