ALL: -I had awakened very early.. or rather Id barely slept.. but either way right? After repairing the stables, and putting the livestock into the new pens, I had had some breakfast and then gone upstairs and unchained brand so that she could move freely when she awakened. A plate of food had been left there on the floor in front of her, some various bits of meat, fruit, and cheese, and some bread with honey upon it, along with a glass of bosk milk. I worked now downstairs of the main building of my villa, tearing up the floorboards with an iron prybar-

.Reese..Caste of Warrior: Brand had been up for some time. But she hadn't bothered to leave the room. After she ate the unexpected feasts, she only left the room once to relieve herself. She had, however, known you were awake. She heard you moving around the villa tearing and banging on things. Even if she had wanted to sleep, she would not have been able to. For hours, she had sat on the dusty floor, just beneath the window, the beams of the light passing directly over her head, missing her and leaving her in the shadows. She sat with her legs folded underneath her, absently twirling the fork between her fingers. Eventually, you would summon her. Still, she did not think it would be a good idea to wait until you wanted her. Dropping the fork onto the plate, she stood up and paused by the window, adjusting the clothing you had given her the other night. She stopped by the door for a moment, her hand resting on the latch before pushing down on it and swinging the door open as quietly as possible. Still, the squeaky, rusty hinges could be heard a psang away.

·B R A N D {House of Max: -I kept working at tearing up the floor, tossing the boards aside with a loud clatter, and then slaves were working in a line to have the pieces hauled outside, where a kajirus worked to chop the pieces down into useable firewood and the like. By the time youd come down, it was as always.. it would seem like I was not even aware of you.. that Id not heard the door over the sounds of ripping up the wooden planks from the floor. I was dressed a bit more simply than my usual. Cape forsaken, as well as heavy boots and my full array of weaponry. I had a single weapon hidden on my person, but sword and shield were in easy reach, even as I worked. I was dressed very simply in a sleevless red tunic over darker red pants and soft sided sueded leather moccassin style boots. I moved around quietly between each round of tearing the wood apart with the prybar and seemed pretty focuse don what I was doing.-

She did, however, pause on the very last step and watched you and the thrall work diligently. It would appear that you hadn't even noticed her. But she took no slight at that. It was loud, hot work you were doing. She noted your clothing. It was much less formal and gave her a better idea of what your physique was. Not that she paid much attention to those things lately. Still, she had been surprised to see you like this. The thrall noticed her first--sparing her a quick glance though never pausing in his work. Brand was familiar with the work, for as punishment once, she was made to do the same exact task. She did not announce herself for it was the first time in a while that she was unsure of how to approach a man...especially you. So, she waited...slightly on edge and completely out of her element.

When you sat down, she moved back up exactly one step as if being near you..wasn't something she hadn't quite mastered yet. It was different the other night--when she thought you had been like the others--and ate cheese brazenly from the very fingertips that had been working hard only a few moments ago. Master...she said in greeting. I...I hadn't meant to stay upstairs so long. But I am sure you could find some use for me. I am almost as strong as a man...She babbled, her voice unrecognizably unsure.

"-I corked the bota and looked up as a messenger slave came up to the porch in the livery of the hall. I waved her closer, and she carefully trod a path over the torn up floor to us. I took the message and read over it quickly and hmmd softly with a bit of a grin. then nodded and told the girl to tell him Id be there soon. I turned to you as I stood and grinned- "it seems Drake is seeking a few rounds in the spar pit. I am glad to oblige such.. so we will head out for a bit. "-With that said, I headed up the stairs, and lightly traced a hand over the small of your back and then continued on. Once upstairs, I quickly sponge bathed from a basin, and then put on some clean clothes, akin to the usual more formal wear Id put on in the hall. I then headed back downstairs, and took a leash from a hook near the door. I set the slaves to work sweeping and mopping the concrete foundation, so that I could lay new floorboards when I returned and to you, I would command again "lesha"

.Reese..Caste of Warrior: She let a slow, steadying breath--a breath that she had held when you spoke to her and the breath she had held even still when she felt your fingers lightly touch her skin. That small acknowledgement meant--more than she had cared to admit. The place on her skin burned where you had so absently touched her. Brand turned her head and watched you ascend the steps and then waited patiently for when you returned. Absently, she adjusted the clothing she had on, and reached back, starting to braid her hair again--then stopped. She let her hands fall to her sides and that was when she heard your heavy footfalls as you descended the steps once again.
When Brand heard the now familiar command, the moved as the command bade her to do. She turned her back to you, extended her wrists out and tilted her head to the side to attach the leash to her collar. Not that she particularly enjoyed being tethered as a stable animal--but in her mind--well it didn't matter today. Her thoughts were clearly betrayed by the otherwordly reaction she seemed to have when you were in her vicinity

I lingered just barely long enough to take in that scent that was yours and then dropped the leash only long enough to collect my weapons from near the door.
